If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Position: <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Development Officer<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Location:<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Primarily Dublin City Council area, but also D\u00fan Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council, Fingal County Council, or South Dublin County Council areas.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Role Overview:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>As a Development Officer at the Dublin City Handball Club, you will serve as a contractor coach on behalf of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.olympichandball.org\/\">Olympic Handball Association of Ireland &#8211; IOHA<\/a>. Your primary responsibilities will include working with the Dublin City Handball Academy, providing coaching in the Dublin City Council area, and offering essential administrative support to ensure our operations run smoothly. You will work closely with the IOHA to align coaching initiatives with their objectives, so there is the possibility of other coaching hours on behalf of IOHA depending on demand<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Key Points:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>Assist the IOHA and Dublin City Handball Club in running Level 0 and Level 1 coaching courses.<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Will run a minimum of three blitzes to occur within Dublin City Council\u2019s geographic area.<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Will visit designated schools \u2013 through agreement with Dublin City Handball Academy Chair &#8211; to develop all aspects of the game, whilst promoting handball in a positive, safe and healthy manner.<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Will at all times present in a professional manner and will wear the designated Dublin City Handball Club or IOHA training gear.<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Will foster a self-sustaining handball playing culture within the schools including coaches and administrators.<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>When requested the IOHA Operations Director or Dublin City Handball Academy Chair will return a folder documenting work to IOHA.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><strong>Qualifications<\/strong>:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>Holds appropriate coaching qualification (minimum Level 0 with a commitment to attain further coaching qualifications)<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>This position will be subject to Garda Vetting<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Has completed, or will prior to beginning the role, the Safeguarding 1 course<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Will have access to own transport and full driving license.<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Will have access to internet<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Well-developed time management skills, including the ability to set and meet deadlines and to prioritise work<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Desirable:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>Knowledge of the developmental pathways for handball players, and an ability to further develop these pathways<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Knowledge of the overall sporting landscape within Dublin<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>How to Apply:<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To apply, please submit your resume and a cover letter detailing your qualifications and passion for this role to <a href=\"mailto:joao@olympichandball.org\"><strong>joao@olympichandball.org<\/strong><\/a> by <strong>29 November 2023<\/strong>.
